Add your AI assistant to Squarespace
To add your AskMyChurch assistant to Squarespace, copy your one-line install code and paste it Settings → Advanced → Code Injection → Footer. The assistant — already trained on your church's content, with your name, colors, and welcome message baked in — appears as a chat button in the corner of every page. No other setup is needed.
Step by step
- Open your dashboard — Go to your assistant's dashboard and open the Test & Install tab.
- Copy your install code — It looks like <script src="https://askchurch.ai/ask-church/YOUR-SLUG/widget.js" async></script> — one line, with your church already baked in.
- Paste it into Squarespace — Add it to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection → Footer.
- Save and publish — Reload your site — the chat button appears in the bottom corner. Click it to test.
Frequently asked
- Do I need a developer to add the assistant to Squarespace?
- No. It's a single line of code you copy from your dashboard and paste into Squarespace. Most churches do it in a couple of minutes.
- Will it match my church's branding?
- Yes — your name, colors, logo, and welcome message are baked into the code, so it matches your site automatically. You can change any of it anytime from the dashboard.
- Will it slow down my website?
- No. The script loads asynchronously (async), so it never blocks your pages from loading.
